Tissue Innovations at Pentawards

Posted By:02/12/2016

Three examples of great packaging innovations in the Tissue Industry

Created in January 2007, the Pentawards are recognised as the most prestigious worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms. They are open to all those who are associated with the creation or marketing of packaging from every country in the world. Their primary mission is to increase the stature of packaging design and those who create it.

Iatona Marketing (Japan) awarded the BODY Platinum for a series of 4 toilet paper rolls The Fruit Toilet Paper.
Many companies and stores throughout Japan give a roll of toilet paper to customers as a novelty gift to show their appreciation. The Fruit Toilet Paper has been designed to wow customers with its cute style, perfect for such occasions. There are 4 designs to choose from: kiwi, strawberry, watermelon, and orange.
The range is sold exclusively on the internet and has achieved huge success.

For the same award Kleenex presents a range of 5-sides boxes entitles Summer Slices. A quite simple idea for this series of paper handkerchief boxes celebrating the pleasures of the summer. Compared with gloomy and bland standardized packs, the hyper-realistic illustrations of fresh fruits in zoom are sure-fire way of making an impact in store.

Referring to the Tissue industry, the last participant in the award is the American brand Brawny. Aiming at rekindling its long lost status of shelf hero, Brawny gives a new design to its kitchen rolls’ packaging: the mysterious figure returns to the center of the pack and the brand’s features, tartan material, a forest background and a logo make up the rest.
